ISST training
As an accredited ISST trainer, I deliver certified Schema Therapy Skills Training, which enables practitioners to further pursue ISST certification.
ISST Certified Training is officially approved training that meets the International Society for Schema Therapy (ISST) international standards for individual schema therapy.
This is not just a training course where you will gain theoretical knowledge. This is a full-fledged, carefully structured professional training that helps not only to master the method of schema therapy, but also to learn how to apply it in practice with the most difficult clients. The training participants go through all the key stages of becoming a schema therapist under the guidance of experienced ISST trainers and supervisors. The program includes all the mandatory elements of the international ISST standard: - theoretical training, - practical mastering of methods, - supervision, - working with your own material, - preparation for certification. Completing this training gives the right to official ISST certification - both at the Standard and Advanced levels (depending on the scope of supervision and the requirements met). I conduct this training on behalf of Schema Therapy Skills Training Spain, as a certified ISST trainer. Dates: to be confirmed, this will be notified on the website. Theory + Practice
My training program is built on a system of modules (thematic master classes) and fully complies with international ISST standards for Individual Schema Therapy.
Each module combines a theoretical part with mandatory practical training of skills and live feedback.
Participants
The group is formed in the following format:

From 10 to 20 participants - training is conducted by one trainer.

From 21 to 40 participants - training is conducted in pairs with a colleague, an ISST-certified trainer.
This format ensures high-quality feedback, process safety and attention to each participant at all stages of training.
Program structure
The program includes 6 master classes (48 academic hours):
5 mandatory modules for participants going to the ISST standard certification (Standard level),
1 additional specialized module for those who are aiming for advanced ISST certification (Advanced level).
Each master class includes 8 academic hours of intensive work.
Contents of modules
The training is structured step by step: each module logically continues the previous one, forming a consistent and deep mastery of the therapy scheme approach.
Mandatory modules
Basics of Schema Therapy
key theoretical concepts, understanding of patterns, modes and coping.
Working with the therapeutic relationship
limited reparenting, empathic confrontation, boundaries and therapist self-disclosure.
Diagnosis and conceptualization
construction of schema conceptualization, use of questionnaires, formulation of cases.
Experimental techniques
working with imagery, chairs, writing letters, emotional processing of painful memories.
Working with personality disorders
structuring therapy, working with dead ends, managing difficult clients, features of the therapeutic contract
Additional module
Integration
development of professional level, strengthening of the Healthy Adult mode, working with the therapist’s own vulnerabilities, integration of skills into long-term practice.
Who can become a participant?

Education
A Master's degree in mental health is required .
Relevant areas of education: Psychology, Clinical social work, Psychiatric nursing, Counseling (if education leads to licensure), Medical education with a residency in psychiatry. A doctorate is an advantage but not a requirement.

Experience of psychotherapeutic practice
You must have a level of practical experience in psychotherapy (intermediate to advanced).

Access to clients
To fully participate in the training, it is important that the specialist has access to clients with chronic psychological difficulties.
This may include personality disorders, especially borderline personality disorder. The training process will involve working with such clients so that you have the opportunity to integrate schema therapy techniques into real-life practice. It is estimated that at least 25 sessions should be completed over the course of the training.

License or certification
Having a license or certification to work independently in your country will be an advantage, but is not a requirement to begin training.
However, to obtain official ISST certification upon completion of the training, a license will be required.

Five basic modules for a total of €925 (+ VAT 24%).
The price includes all training services and handouts.
The sixth module is optional for advanced certification. It can be taken if the candidate has completed the 5 core modules.
Cost of the sixth module: €185 (+ VAT 24%) per module.

The cost of the first to fifth and sixth modules of the face-to-face format will be specified and may differ from the cost of online training, which is related to the provision of the educational process.
During full-time study, participants pay for their own travel expenses, accommodation during the course of study, food, etc.
Payment for supervision is made directly to the supervisor.
Payment for video ratings is made directly to independent raters and typically amounts to 2 hours of the rater's work.
